What I Did to Stimulate the Economy Today: March 28, 2009

I confess, this post is being made on Sunday, March 29 because I fell asleep with laptop in hand last night. Keeping up with my patriotic duty, I continued to stimulate the economy Saturday:
  • Frappacunio @ Starbucks
  • Lunch @ Veggie Magic (organic raw food restaurant in Sarasota)
  • Sarasota Film Festival Movie - Food, Inc. (everyone who eats needs to see this flick)
  • Day Spa Gift Certificate -ZeldaMae's 50th Birthday
And how did you stimulate the economy?

What I Did to Stimulate the Economy Yesterday: March 27, 2009

I tried really hard to get home by midnight last night but just didn't make it. While my efforts to stimulate the economy were minimal yesterday, I did carry out my patriotic duty:

Breakfast @ Burger King (yes, I've given into the Freaky King)
Late Night Run through McDonald's on the Drive Home Last Night (sweet tea and hot apple pie, yum!)

And what did you do to stimulate the economy?

Other Twitterers During the Sarasota Film Festival March 27 - April 5, 2009

Have a thirst for independent fimls? The Sarasota Film Festival is in full-gear through April 5. I don’t have all access to the event as I was told (found that out last night) so I won’t be tweeting as regularly anticipated and won’t be making the one-hour drive up there as often. Which in a way, is a good thing, I need to get caught up on life. However, I’ll be attending three more parties throughout the event so stay tuned.

Sarasota Film Festival Opening Night

For all the years I lived in Sarasota I never attended a Sarasota Film Festival event. It's only ironic that I now live an hour away and have tickets to four of the festival's hottest events. Tonight was the kick off event with showing of the movie The Messenger directed by Oren Moverman and starring Woody Harrelson, Ben Foster and Samantha Morton.

It was an excellent movie but I'm still mulling how I feel about it. It's not the typical Hollywood feel-good movie, it pushes comfort boundaries. I'll write a more formal article/post later in the week because it's 2 a.m. and time for bed!

Enjoy a few shots from the red carpet tonight over on Flickr. And yes, I did get within spitting distance of Mr. Woody Harrelson and yes, he does look that beautiful in person as on the big screen.

Remember to follow me on Twitter (@jenniferhuber) and the hash tag is #srqfilm if you care to read what others are tweeting.

G'night.
