Worden Farm: Week 4, 2008 Farm Share

More lovely goodness this week in my farm share from Worden Farm in Punta Gorda, Fla. New items included carrots, swiss chard, and scallions. I cooked up a nice stir fry tonight for my Christmas Eve dinner, threw in some shrimp and topped it on jasmine rice. Made pesto with the cilantro. Maybe next week there will be an avocado and cilantro, then I could make some more guacamole, yum!

Quite a contrasting photo compared to the "Hawg" wings.My stomach has a way of giving me its opinion of my varied, sometimes questionable food choices.
Oh well, everything in moderation as my Irish Grandma used to say as she swallowed a shot of rye whiskey.

Definitely a contrast to the hawg wings and excessive carbs. I now need to learn to prepare these yummy veggies without frying them or using butter. I've been pretty good.
