Saturday is National Public Lands Day, a day to spruce up some of the much-loved, and sometimes under appreciated, parks, forests, beaches and preserves. Personally, it's something that should be celebrated daily and after visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I believe this even more.

Simple enough. I never got around to hauling out baggies of you know what but a hole carefully located with a small shovel or garden trowel covers a lot of ssssssss.stuff.
