Yesterday was "Cow Appreciation Day" in Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country. Not one to pass up on free food (free things are always good on a single gal's budget), my coworker EP and I ab-libbed as "cows" for lunch.
The deal was to dress somewhat like a cow for a free entrée or dress as a cow head to hoof to get a free meal. Our strategy - wore black tops and cut out "spots" from recycled office paper and wore the "Eat Mor Chikin" sign around our necks. Hence, we called ourselves, "recy-cow-les."
We thought we'd score free meals but only landed free entrées (we weren't dressed head to hoof; were told one woman brought a REAL cow to the store down the street!).
Despite not getting a free lunch, it was fun. We did get some funny looks from people as we walked from the office, through the mall to the food court.
